A Windy Wedding

Some of my favorite weddings are the ones that I get to go to! One of my favorite clients, (and friend), Janelle married her best friend Rob on Treasure Island in an intimate ceremony on the beach. We had so much fun styling Janelle on the day of and I even handmade the flower she wore in her hair on her big day.

The ceremony went off without a hitch, and Janelle's gorgeous daughter Eva was even a part of it and recieved her own special necklace to signify her bond with her new family. The wind did start whipping as soon as we got outside, and the rain soon followed, but Janelle handled it like a champ and we all had a blast, despite getting a little wet and windblown and danced the night away, rain, wind and all. Janelle was the epitome of a modern bride. She wanted a simple, yet elegant look and she wanted to look like herself on her wedding day. Check out the photos below to catch a glimpse of this whimsical and windy wedding!

  1. That girl Janelle is beautiful. She must take after her dad. Thanks for doing a great job Torrie. You can do my make-up and hair anytime. Father of the bride, Geren Gordon

  3. Hi Torrie, It's me Katy, Janelle's BFF from "home". We did have a great time that day/night, didn't we! Janelle is always a champ when it comes to staying positive even when the elements -- any elements! -- seem against her. Positivity all the way!

Anyway, you made a beautiful woman even more beautiful. And you're so right...she was a modern bride! So next time you're faced with a "bridezilla", you can remember that they're not ALL like that!

Hope to see you all soon! Katy

  4. Hi Torrie, It was windy, but her hair sure looked super, and I was amazed that it held up. Just wish you had done MY hair, too, because there's not a single photo with me in it that I'd dare to put online! Jane (aka J-Ma to Eva, one of Janelle's two new mother-in-laws... And I tell you, she's a blessing to all of us!)
